How to get to Tooting Common

By tube

Depending on which part of the Common you’re aiming for, get off at Balham tube station or Tooting Bec tube station and head east.

By train

Go to either Balham station and head east along Fernlea Road; or to Streatham Hill station and head west on Drewstead Road.

By bus

Currently four buses will drop you off next to the Common:

By foot

Section 5 of the Capital Ring Walk takes you right through the Common.

By car – parking

If possible, please try to make your journey to the Common by foot or public transport. If you do choose to drive, there is free car parking at the south side of the Common where Dr Johnson Avenue meets Tooting Bec Road (opposite Tooting Bec Athletics Track)
